Women's Enterprise Day
'Without being part of Enterprise Week we may not have got the press coverage we did as a group. I'd encourage all groups to get involved - not only will you benefit from it as a person but you'll walk away from the event knowing you've done something positive for yourself and the nation too. Young people need something to catch their attention – Enterprise Week does that.’
Alliyah Dawud-Khatak, Founder, Divas Network
Building on the success of last year, Women's Enterprise Day 2007 will take place on Wednesday 14 November. More than 200 events on the theme of women's enterprise took place during Enterprise Week 2006, and this year we want there to be even more!

Girls! Make Your Mark
In the UK the rate of women’s entrepreneurship is half that of men's, and in order to increase innovation and creativity in the UK marketplace, it is essential to grow the number of women-owned businesses. The Make Your Mark campaign is responding to this obvious disparity between men and women, and have created a campaign called 'Girls! Make Your Mark'. It was launched on Women's Enterprise Day last year and has the backing of Rt Hon Margaret Hodge MP, Minister for the Industry and Regions.
