What's this?

“The courage, perseverance and dedication shown by young people who start up a business form the backbone of our economy and our society. The UK has a proud tradition of entrepreneurship. Enterprise Week's aim is to support that tradition and maintain it for the future; the FSB is happy to support it.”

Stephen Alambritis, Chairman of the Make Your Mark campaign

Make Your Mark Challenge 2008: Monday 17 November

Are you the top banana?

The Make Your Mark Challenge is a free, one-day, national enterprise competition for secondary schools and colleges. It kick-starts Enterprise Week which this year will be part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (17-23 November 2008).

In 2007, over 38,000 students took part in the Make Your Mark Challenge so you’d be bananas to miss it! Students across the country will be challenged to come up with ideas for new and innovative products and services in response to a secret brief launched here on Monday 17 November. The competition is designed for students aged 14-19 and aims to improve their enterprise capability, communication and planning skills.

There are two age categories: 14-16 years and 16-19 years

This website is packed full of useful information to get you started as well as resources to help you run a fun and successful day on Monday 17 November 2008.

The Make Your Mark Challenge is so easy for schools and groups to get involved with and it allows students the opportunity to experiment with ideas.  It's a 'pick it up and run with it' type of activity with all the resources (and lots of hints and tips too) available online.  All you need are students and an open mind!
